Good, what about you Alyssa? Mrs Smith, I want to be a teacher just like you. What about you Jasmine? I want to plan weddings. Elaina? I want to be a Chemist, I attended a science camp this summer and we learned that through science there are so many ways to help make our planet better. Being a chemist, you can work with lots of different things from medicines, to food to make-up! We learned that without chemistry there would be no plastic. Without plastic I wouldn't have a Playstation or a cellphone. Chemists are also helping with recycling. They are inventing new ways to recycle things every day. There were lots of cool careers they showed us, but Chemistry was the most interesting to me. Mrs. Smith can I change my answer? I want to be a Chemist just like Elaina. What about me, can I be like Elaina too? Me too! Yes girls, as a matter of fact you can, BUT you don't have to be just like Elaina. With science the sky is the limit. Every day there are new and exciting things to do. For instance, how many of you like roller coasters? Me, I do. Well, to design roller coasters you need a degree in Physics, Engineering, or Architecture. What aboput dolphins, any of you like dolphins? I love dolphins! If you become a marine biologist you get to work with them every day. But you'll need to study Biology in college. Have you ever wondered how your TV works? Or your parents' car? Electrical engineers use electricity to solve problems every day. By the time you are old enough to decide what you really want to study, you could be studying things that does not even exist yet. How cool is that? The best thing about science is that you're studying lots of things that are exciting and fun, and at the same time you are making the planet a better place for every one.
