  • lovely way good to kick off sweets, cause it's with great pleasure that I welcome.

  • He's gonna zoom in Mr Daniel Radcliffe.

  • Harry comes Hello, my own clapping.

  • Guess self promo is important.

  • Absolutely.

  • Now I have the pleasure of seeing a little film called Escape from Pretoria the other day, one of the most tense films I've ever watched in a good way, in a good way, I very much enjoyed it for those who are unfamiliar.

  • What the heck is this field, right?

  • So this is the true story off three political prisoners in South Africa in the 19 seventies on they came up with this.

  • What one of them, particularly Tim Jenkin, the man I play.

  • It was just a bit of a genius who worked out the E could make copies of all the keys that the guards had and then reconstruct them out of wood that he stole from the workshop.

  • Essentially, they escaped from prison by making keys to every door in prison on dhe, eventually just sort of walking out.

  • One day it was, you know, there were more hurdles than that.

  • Otherwise we wouldn't have a film, but it was no, it's a really incredible true story on, and also they were political prisoners as well.

  • So it's very much like the kind of people that you could get behind from prison.

  • Nice people.

  • It's not like, Oh, they're murderers now they're getting out.

  • Maybe they shouldn't that yet, but they're good people.

  • Who?

  • Yeah, did this escaped in the most incredibly simple way.

  • But that, as a consequence of its simplicity, was incredibly complicated today.

  • Yes, definitely.

  • You've earned yourself a lovely can of water for that.

  • Thank you.

  • Very beautiful explanation cans and I know watering cans.

  • It's the future now.

  • Some people may have missed this, but did I detect the slightest hint of an accent in this film?

  • Mr Daniel Radcliffe?

  • Very much so.

  • Yes.

  • Oh, I'm I'm South African in this film, he's he's English, South African, So he's not like full on Africans like it's no interesting.

  • Yeah, it's no, he's not from the sort of the Dutch board descent he's of extraction on De So yes, it was slightly closer to my own, but still, Yeah, it was It was quite a long way away, and it was.

  • It was.

  • Wheel also filmed the movie in Australia.

  • So that was my concern was like because they're not similar accents, but they are similar enough on certain vowels that you can get dragged from South African to Australian if you're not careful, and you're just listening to the other one too much.

  • So yes.

  • So there was a lot of there was a lot of that.

  • Lucky we had a We had a fantastic accent coach on set called Jenny.

  • Yeah, there for all of us with our various accent needs cause almost nobody in this film is speaking with their acts.

  • And actually, it's pretty much really accents across the board.

  • Wow, You can try and do a South African accent while surrounded by Australians is such a challenge.

  • It really wants.

  • I think you did a great job.

  • Thank you.

  • Also had what I assume is a wig.

  • Yes.

  • It appears the bid was riel.

  • Good.

  • Yes, thank you very much.

  • Have closed at the moment.

  • Really?

  • Do you miss the beard?

  • Yeah, just without a beard.

  • I just like a retired child has no way of justifying it.

  • Just playing with bid you got?

  • Oh, there's a tired little man.

  • Yeah, tight man It's okay.

  • Uh, we nicknamed my wig Jackson after Bradley Cooper's character in a Star is Born, which I hadn't seen it that way at the time.

  • But it was one of the reference photos the the are making eyes to, like, Show me what the weight might like on those.

  • Great.

  • If I looked like Bradley Cooper when you put it on me.

  • There you go.

  • I'm fantastic.

  • This is not a problem.

  • Um, actually, yeah, it was I was quite resistant to the wicked person.

  • Then we put it on.

  • It's actually very seventies.

  • And my, my my own head does not do that naturally, if it grows longer, Sure.

  • It was a good way to go.

  • Now, a lot of the key scenes in this film, our key scenes I don't have a question about that.

  • I just wanted to say that and I had his very we can just move on from If you like these, it's a good like a cz.

  • Oh, my God, We might've made a film for you.

  • You know, e, I do think I there are certain things I love about it.

  • And I have a great relationship with Twitter now, like my girlfriends on it So I can spy on it over her shoulder or like she can show me an interesting thing.

  • And that's great.

  • Many like dog videos or cool magic tricks like That's what I think the Internet is best for.

  • On Ben.

  • Yeah, I just It's no out of any sense of Lake.

  • I'm too good for this is actually particular with Twitter.

  • It's quite the opposite.

  • Is that I know that if I was on Twitter, I would be the worst version of myself on Twitter, as we all are.

  • But yeah, I would just be so reactive and so on.

  • Everything would make me angry.

  • Do you know what Tic tac is?

  • I do know what it took is have you ever made a tic toe?

  • I've never made it.

  • I you know I don't need tic tac.

  • I sing and mind to be able to claim I don't need other people to see me doing that.

  • I enjoy it perfectly well on my own.

  • And I know it's fantastic, That confidence I wish.

  • You don't have any of that social bubble around you?

  • Do you think that the new comers kids on stranger things?

  • I don't know how I would, because they will go as far as I can tell.

  • Like quite big social media presences.
