  • much. OK. Let's get into those Service Delivery Manager interview questions and top-scoring

  • answers. You can either take notes as I progress, or if you want to, if you prefer, you can

  • wait and I will tell you where you can download my full set of 25 Service Delivery Manager

  • Interview Questions and Top-Scoring Answers. So, question number one of your Service Delivery

  • Manager interview is guaranteed to be: Introduce yourself and tell me why you want to become

  • a Service Delivery manager? So, we need to make sure that you get off on a positive footing.

  • This is the first interview question. So we need to make sure we give them a powerful

  • response. Here it is: “I am a highly-driven, focused and accountable Service Delivery manager

  • who can be relied upon to consistently achieve all organizational and operational service

  • objectives. The main qualities, skills and experience I have gained during my career

  • to date, include exceptional organizing, planning and implementation skills, an ability to motivate,

  • inspire and lead others, and also very good communication and interpersonal skills that

  • mean I can get the most out of the people and the resources I am responsible for. I

  • want to become a Service Delivery manager primarily because, having studied the job

  • description and person specification in detail, I am one hundred percent confident the traits

  • and qualities I already possess are a strong match for the role. I thrive in a pressurized

  • environment where I am the person responsible for the effective delivery of organizational

  • services. If you hire me as your Service Delivery manager, I will not let you down.” So that

  • is loaded with powerful and positive keywords and phrases that will resonate in a strong

  • manner with the interview panel. You can take a note of that and use it during your response

  • to the first interview question. If you do that, you won't go wrong! Second question

  • of your Service Delivery Manager interview: Why do you want to work for our company as

  • a Service Delivery Manager? Again, this is guaranteed to come up. Here is my strong answer:

  • As a Service Delivery manager, I believe it is important to choose your employer carefully.

  • To be effective in the role, you need clear objectives to work towards, an ambitious senior

  • management team to support you, and also the resources and the team members to be able

  • to achieve your goals. Having researched your company thoroughly prior to applying, it is

  • clear you are not only a leader in your field, but the ambitious plans you have for the future,

  • and the way you go about your business, gives me the confidence that I will be able to perform

  • my role as your Service Delivery manager for many years to come, if I am successful at

  • interview today.” Another great answer to the interview question: Why do you want to

  • work for our company? Next question of your Service Delivery Manager interview is: What

  • will you do within the first 30 days of starting as our Service Delivery Manager? So, we have

  • to have a plan in place. This question will catch the majority of people out because they

  • will be thinking on the spot of what they are going to do in the first 30 days. But

  • if you're fully prepared, you should already have a plan of action of what you're going

  • to do when you start as their Service Delivery Manager. It demonstrates that you've carried

  • out lots of research and you are competent in your role. So, here is what I suggest you

  • say to this interview question. “I already have a plan in place for what I want to achieve

  • within the first 30 days of starting. I will focus on three primary goals: Firstly, I will

  • obtain a very clear and distinct brief from you, the senior management team, on what it

  • is you want to me to achieve, and also the priorities you have for the business. This

  • will allow me to effectively hit the ground running and start contributing positively

  • to your service delivery objectives very soon after starting. Secondly, I will quickly get

  • to know my team as soon as possible, what drives them and also how we can work together,

  • collaboratively, to make sure what we do moving forward, is effective from a service delivery

  • perspective. Finally, I will create short-term, medium-term and long-term plans that clearly

  • define what both I, and the team I am leading will do, to ensure the organization continues

  • to thrive from a service delivery aspect moving forward into the future.” So, those three

  • things that you're going to do: you OBTAIN A BRIEF, you are going to GET TO KNOW YOUR

  • TEAM, and then you're going to create those all-important SHORT, MEDIUM AND LONG TERM

  • PLANS that define what you're going to do as a team. That's the perfect answer to that

  • question! Show that youve got a plan in place already, which shows you're fully prepared.

  • If you said that to me, you would already be the top candidate at the Service Delivery

  • Manager interview. Now, I've got two more questions to go through, so please do stick

  • around. As I said at the beginning, I will tell you where you can download my full set

  • of 25 Service Delivery Manager Interview Questions and High Scoring Answers. When you're ready,

  • you can CLICK THAT LINK in the top right-hand corner of the video and it will take it through

  • to my website where you can download the ones I've just gone through and a further 22 Service

  • Delivery Manager Interview Questions and Answers! Let's move onto the next one. In your opinion,

  • what are the main qualities needed to become a competent Service Delivery Manager? So,

  • this question is assessing your understanding of the person specification. Here we go: “You

  • need a multitude of different qualities to be able to perform your duties as a Service

  • Delivery manager competently. These include, a willingness to take full responsibility

  • for the delivery of your services; a thorough understanding of the customer service objectives

  • the organization is striving to achieve; exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication

  • skills and also strong problem solving capabilities. You also need a willingness to be accountable

  • for not only your own actions, but the actions of your team; a detail orientated nature;

  • great attention to detail skills, and also a strong sense of ownership. Whilst there

  • are other important qualities needed on a daily basis, those I just mentioned form the

  • foundations for a highly effective and competent Service Delivery Manager.” Next question

  • of your Service Delivery Manager interview. So, as a Service Delivery Manager, how would

  • you define the Key Performance Indicators? Now, again, the majority of candidates will

  • have no idea what KPIs are. So, Key Performance Indicators are basically a set of standards

  • and objectives that you would implement to ensure the team you are managing will achieve

  • their objectives. Okay, so here's my suggested answer. “I would, first and foremost, set

  • clear objectives for the KPIs and ensure I obtain feedback from you, the senior management

  • team. Although I would have my own ideas and objectives in respect of service delivery

  • performance indicators, I would want to obtain as much feedback from other people within

  • the business, to ensure the KPIs are accurate, and achievable. I would then want to make

  • sure the KPIs were actionable. One thing I would absolutely want to make sure, is that

  • everyone within the service delivery team was onboard with them, and that they were

  • an integral part of their day-to-day activities. It would then be important to make sure I

  • review the KPIs during regular team meetings, and also our performance in respect of achieving

  • them. I would then evolve the KPIs as the months progressed, to keep up with the ever-changing

  • needs of the business. Once the KPIs were achieved, I would then discuss with my team

  • what we have learnt from the previous set, with a view to establishing new and more challenging

  • Key Performance Indicators to ensure the organization continues to move forward and grow.” That’s

  • a cracking answer to the question: As a Service Delivery Manager, how would you define the

  • Key Performance Indicators? So, if you would like my FULL SET of 25 Service Delivery Manager
