  • You guys s o This big building here behind me is the hotel where they put up all of the BWC winners tonight before the event.

  • So everyone's kind of arriving here, gonna go in, meet up with Tim on Aaron and then in a little bit we're gonna go have some dinner with Tim and Bend I reps.

  • That'll be awesome.

  • Yeah, this is the hotel where you get to stay if you win, the hotel is located right here on die, but which is actually a manmade island in Tokyo Bay, where the gun, the base and the 1 to 1 scale unit corner located.

  • So it's a little bit far to walk there from here.

  • So I think they usually take the bus or you can take, uh, there's a monorail goes there as well.

  • But let's head in here to lobby and see who's here.

  • Your loss winners lettuce, the room you get to bed.

  • So you guys maybe don't know they have to leave their works here or along so much, so few months.

  • So the staff of Bend are left to disassemble.

  • It can repack it and send it back to you.

  • And so the winners will leave instructions where they should leave instructions for the kid's house, taken aback, apart off the base, never had a packet.

  • And then how to get it back to the winners and peace.

  • Ideally, unlike that two guys, if you haven't and he had a strong like I saw it, I just That's where the magic happens.

  • Thistles, where Tim sleeps five.

  • Thank you.

  • Hey, Thank you.

  • make me that I would gushing over like I got long.

  • I don't want to be.

  • Oh, we're done.

  • Okay.

  • Thank you, dude.

  • Thank you.

  • We'll come.

  • Right.

  • I'm really touched by this custom sticker.

  • Yeah.

  • Tim's instructions were talking about this parents to instructions for this assembly.

  • Packing that.

  • How many extras did you make The's?

  • Only three in existence forgot his head.

  • City Rome.

  • Thinking this'll was never meant for you babies again.

  • This was when I started this.

  • This was all exercise.

  • It's all just a big sign.

  • This is a palate cleanser here.

  • This is no Virginia.

  • Then I got the idea.

  • That's what happens.

  • You crying?

  • Yeah.

  • And stock that you get after this.

  • Next thing you know, actually, this is pretty cool.

  • Yeah.

  • Look at this guy in the video again.

  • We're going to dinner, but that we need to Canada.

  • Fine individuals.

  • Yeah, You right, E.

  • I want every day like this in my basement.

  • Right?

  • So the stairs coming down here and then you turn and there's a hallway right here.

  • So I passed by this every day.

  • Nice to see you.

  • Thank you for coming way.

  • Appreciate you being here.

  • Wait exactly right?

  • Yeah.

  • What's going on?

  • Good morning.

  • How are you?

  • Get my good side.

  • Good morning, Will Baines.

  • Washington Pressures cutters.

  • Three years, David.

  • Morning, Lorna.

  • Let's go way.

  • Everyone, wait.

  • You're gonna pick up your artwork on one by one?

  • Okay?

  • Okay.

  • Feeling good, man?

  • Citing really nervous.

  • It's getting really, really, really Thistle is this is like, one of the best feelings ever right now.

  • Intensification first.

  • Yeah.

  • First piece in the case of the way.

  • That's actually sure way from Italy.

  • On the Italian families of the WC is my entry.

  • Ah, military modeler.

  • I always liked it there.

  • Military part off first Gundam.

  • Serious.

  • Nine first releases.

  • You see, after serious, I was very excited because, of course, I can match my military modeler model their mother affection to the universe.

  • Off the one year war period off the ground in Syria courts.

  • I cannot resist to be this amazing.

  • Graf won six a five bank which I found it.

  • A very great kid.

  • It's been that mainly out of the box with a few minor modifications off extra detailing robes, faces on the turret on extra machine gun turret and some details for base I concluded that the 2nd 2nd keep from you see on Syria, which is their anti mobile suite, which is included.

  • So this one mainly for out of the booth bits with arm, some infantry base.

  • Of course, I imagine a warfare period and tank advancing with the cover off infantry, which are using their destroyed the arm as a bridge across the river.

  • Total flavor is something like, Let me get more for general warfare uses that they're very old Linden production and the rest is everything.

  • It's a scratch that explains a lot of plans.

  • Various product making productions.

  • It's a Japanese company that makes a lot of cutting paper, paper plants and scratch funded with governments around house and stabilize it with special brother.

  • And that's you almost one year, but not off the news work.

  • Otherwise, I will get on.

  • You have to spend the biggest part of the building collecting pictures on dhe plans to create, I hope, really, which is the main this diagram, because it doesn't matter how many plants I put on it.

  • It always looks for you.

  • I always have to add more plants.

  • This is the result, and I'm quite happy.

  • After I started that finished with Tank and I'm planning to realize the drama.

  • I decided to participate as a my entry for the baby because I thought it would be My strategy was to present something very different from all the other contenders.

  • Andi, I win.

  • So I'm happy about my my my racing strategy.

  • I discovered it, Lucy, last year since my friend popular one previous.

  • So I decided to try a course.

  • I start building gum flower in maybe 25 years ago, so I'm not a new one.

  • But I'm a new one in this kind of competition.

  • Follow your imagination and don't try to take inspiration for others ideas.

  • For if you ever figured and imagine something, do it on, follow your way.

  • It just looks great.

  • But that's so good.

  • U S A and this is air drop.

  • I made this in like, two days from paper McShay and Hopes and dreams.

  • No obvious series Eso air job took me like I don't know, eight months to make It's a highly detailed, just a master grade customized way Scratching parachutes, scratch builds jump back on dhe Highly modified accessories like the weapons and things like that.

  • Um, highly detailed on, uh, scratch built base, the whole nine yards to support the entire unit.

  • Parachutes and everything I held held on by rare earth magnets.

  • And your gimme.

  • Um, for those of you playing at home on, uh, yeah, like you see it, it is literally suspended in midair, So it's dropping.

  • You said the inspiration for the air drop is the 67th Tactical Fighter Wing that's actually located here in Japan.

  • Kaneda Air Force Base.

  • They are inactive tactical fighter wing, and I actually found their logo on a sheet of the accounts that I bought from my local hobby store.

  • And I just thought the logo was cool.

  • But then I did research about it, and it just everything just fit so kind of the idea.

  • Waas to imagine what if, in the future, this tactical fighter wing evolved from using jets planes and stuff using air drop mobile suit, So it just kind of fit the theme.

  • And, uh so I guess this is kind of an image to 67.

  • So?

  • So the base is completely scratch built.

  • It's made from solid core of MDF on, then laminated in plastic sheet detailed up painted the whole nine yards.

  • So it's built in different pieces, so it comes apart really easily.

  • And, yeah, so it supports and sports suggested perfectly.

  • And I think it sells the look of dropping with the cloud motifs and things of that nature.

  • And then, of course, the radio blurred.

  • It's not a background.

  • It's an underground to simulate the dropping motion.

  • So don't stare, too.

  • Don't stare at it too long or else you get vertigo.

  • So, man, So if you ever want to come here to Japan and compete in D P.

  • W C, you absolutely can.

  • I've been in this hobby for almost 20 years.

  • I have unfair advantage and unfair head start on most people.

  • But if you continue to work and you continue to protect perfect your craft, you show full dedication to the hobby.

  • You absolutely can make it.

  • When I first started out, I didn't think in a 1,000,000 years that I have an opportunity like this, much less twice to be here in Japan and competing at a world competitions.

  • But here I am, so you could do it to weigh one.

  • An only child of Mecca Hey, we'll see you guys later.

  • Macca Army, Simon's from Australia on mine, known as With My Second Year, Lucky enough to represent Australia massively happy with that, I wanted to be here.

  • My work is based around my favorite samurai.

  • I Musashi just loved the story of him on a familiar with that he's a hell of a warrior once regarded as the best swordsman in Japanese history and run an amazing book.

  • When he was in his all day, she wrote, a book brings is actually sort of scrolls, but they put it together and it's still really current today, and I read that really inspired me.

  • So I tried to get elephants in my field.

  • The book represent their twin twin swords.

  • He used a book in which was remitted from or all those elements air in the actual work to bring it all together on traditionally wore a blue What about blue and gray?

  • So again, I'll put that in there and with floor that he's standing on his head to represent the deck of a boat that he went to a really famous battle.

  • So the whole the whole works it took me about six months.

  • Six months of work, often on on and then like the actual flag, for instance, has just made out of, like, sort of thing climb Shing just heated with the heat gun so that it takes the shape of what it's like but the bull can.

  • Everything else is mainly made out of X p s just kind of like, yes, I look for may.

  • Anyone that follows the line will know that I'm, like, really family with a lot of weather bills with this one.

  • I didn't want to go as heavily with it is a little bit weather, but like my usual stall, this is very light.

  • And this quite a lot of modifications.

  • I mean, my main kind of style is scratch building.

  • I'm not really much about Scribner and detailer, although I do a bit of that.

  • But this scratch building in the kid mashing parts most looking at that is heavily modified in terms of from the original.

  • I think the main message and what a lot of people get about this competition is that three categories one of those categories is your idea.

  • Hey, you know, I think that it's really important that people put as much time into their idea as they put into it and put into their building because it's 1/3 of the judging and you'll see a lot of amazing builds that get done.

  • But just just static, kind of boring hoses.

  • No life to them.

  • There's no theme running behind, and they don't do as well.

  • This'll year.

  • I really spent a long time developing the idea, and then I kind of did everything else sympathetic to that idea on.

  • And I think that, like in terms of Jamie up, you see you have to do that.

  • You have to be strong in all three categories and bring them all together as one.

  • Thanks, guys looking boats of the whole night.

  • Nicholas Jodha percent on one last mission.

  • And as you can see, basically it's gonna be in certain ways.

  • We're seven months, six months and months.

  • It's a lot of kids, especially in patients waiting to be able to be here representing last year.

  • You also participate and I won second place thing.

  • Don't be intimidated by other people's bills.

  • Don't think that you're not at that level or something like that.

  • For example, I still consider myself US student on every single building.

  • I learned from it.

  • I'm always looking tutorials online.

  • It's always a process never been traded.

  • Everybody said it for somewhere.

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you.

  • Way brushy brush that it Wait up with me.

  • Welcome back.

  • Changed here.

  • So self contained.

  • You're good.

  • With what?

  • You don't trust me.

  • It's not like a dressing thing.

  • It's to scale What is important?

  • Because I can't use chopsticks.

  • Man, I am completely uncoordinated with you using chopsticks.

  • But now that I've got my baby fork, I am much more confident in my eating ability is very cute.

  • My baby.

  • Yes.

  • Look, it's his camera.

  • I'll be very ambitious.

  • Wait Way, Sensation Way.

  • Those pigs really smooth.

  • Good man.

  • Good food.

  • Very nice.

  • Thank you.

  • Go here.

Hey, what's going on, guys?
